The ILWU Holiday Events Committee will be hosting their annual Toy Drive on Tuesday, December 16, 2013 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., ILWU Memorial Hall, 231 W. “C” Street, Wilmington. All members are asked to bring an unwrapped toy valued at $10.00 or more to your Regular Membership Meeting on Thursday, December 5, 2013. All Class “B” workers are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to their Steward Meeting on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. All toys will be collected at each meeting. To sign up for the Night Mechanic Board you must see Ray Pearson in the Records Room. Sign-ups started on Sunday, December 1st and will continue through Friday, January 3, 2014. You must be a registered mechanic to sign up.
The Annual Longshoremen’s Memorial Association meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. (1 ½ hour prior to the Regular Membership Meeting) on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the ILWU Memorial Hall. All brick holders are requested to attend; nominations/voting will take place for the fifteen (15) seats available for the 2014 Board of Directors.
The Office of Local 13 will be closing at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013. All permits will be extended until Friday, December 13, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
